Meet Your Pastoral Council - Chris Norton

I have been a member of the parish for seven years now, when my wife, Maureen, four children, and I moved to Brookfield from Michigan. It has been a blessing to be a part of the St Dominic parish and school communities ever since we joined. I have had the opportunity to serve in different capacities such as singing in the choir, the cod squad, the hospitality team, and serving on the Pastoral Council. This will be my fifth year serving .

We have an amazing parish and that is what excites me most about being called to serve on the Pastoral Council. We are a vibrant and engaged community. I enjoy serving with other Pastoral Council members, our great priests, staff, and trustees, who share a common vision of forming intentional disciples – and growing and sharing that vision with the parish community. This last year has been difficult for our entire community. I approach this upcoming year on the council with renewed enthusiasm as we shed our masks and we share a smile, hug, and prayer with each other. Serving on the Pastoral Council has been a personal spiritual growth journey for me as well, as we engage in intentional prayer, share our faith journey, and explore the entire Mass experience.
