School Spirit

I’ve been reflecting on what it truly means to have school spirit. It goes beyond just wearing our colors and logos; it’s about nurturing pride in our school community and our Catholic faith. We are blessed to share a unique bond with you, our families, as the primary educators of your children, which enriches our mission together.

Having school spirit means celebrating our community united in faith. It’s vital for our children to feel proud of both their school and their Catholic identity. The Holy Spirit guides us daily, filling our school with love, joy, and purpose. I encourage you to take a moment as a family to reflect on the fruits of the Holy Spirit and how they can flourish both at school and at home:

    • Love: Inspires us to care for one another and build a supportive community
    • Joy: Encourages a positive spirit and gratitude in our daily lives
    • Peace: Fosters harmony and understanding among us all
    • Patience: Helps us navigate challenges with grace
    • Kindness: Prompts us to act compassionately towards others
    • Goodness: Motivates us to make choices that reflect our values
    • Faithfulness: Strengthens our commitment to our faith and community
    • Gentleness: Encourages humility and respect in our interactions
    • Self-control: Empowers our children to make thoughtful choices

With this understanding of St. Dominic school spirit, let’s come together to nurture these qualities in our children every day. Thank you for being such an important part of our St. Dominic family. Together, let’s celebrate our school spirit and the blessings of our Catholic faith!
