Human Trafficking Awareness
"It is a call to take action, to mobilize all our resources in combatting trafficking and restoring full dignity to those who have been its victims," he said, warning, "If we close our eyes and ears, if we do nothing, we will be guilty of complicity." ~Pope Francis
Please join us for our second event on Human Trafficking Awareness.
Guest Speakers:
- Local Police
- Anne Haines, Founder & Executive Director of St. Bakhita Catholic Worker
- Franciscan Peacemakers
- Members of the Human Trafficking Ministry of St. Dominic
The evening will bring us together in prayer, help you to identify and assist victims, gather intelligence, initiate investigations, recognize signs of trafficking, and more.
You will hear about Bakhita House, a community of survivors in Milwaukee, and how we can be involved in this initiative. You will also hear from Franciscan Peacemakers about their ministry and have the opportunity to purchase items to support their work.
Light Refreshments will be served.
