Join us for a St. Dominic 800th Anniversary Celebration Day of Reflection!

Celebrate Easter! "Go into the Whole World and Proclaim the Gospel" Mark 16: 9-15

On April 23, we will welcome Dominican priest, Fr. Richard Litzau, OP, Parochial Vicar, Queen of Peace Parish, Madison, formerly of the Aquinas Newman Center at the University of New Mexico, and Newman Center at the University of Missouri. Fr. Rich will lead us to an encounter with St. Dominic, our patron, whose mission was to pray, to preach and to bless. Clear your calendar and learn about our patron and how his mission and spirituality can enrich your life.

This day has three sessions in which registration is required to ensure we have enough food and refreshments for all who attend the sessions. 

DAY OF REFLECTION

Part 1: Morning Session: 8:30 - 11:00 AM

  • Welcome, hospitality and refreshments
  • "TO PRAY": Presentation, table talk, and large group feedback
  • Break/Personal prayer time

Part 2: Mid-day Session: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

  • "TO BLESS": Presentation, table talk, large group feedback, sung Dominican Blessing
  • Soup Lunch: Solidarity with the poor
  • Break/Personal prayer time

Part 3: Afternoon Session: 1:00 - 2:15 PM

  • "TO PREACH": Presentation, table talk, large group feedback, Sending forth: Becoming What We Pray
  • Break/Personal prayer time

Confessions 2:30-3:00 PM: Fr. Rich will hear confessions from 2:30-3:00 PM. (He will also be hearing confessions from 3:00-4:00 PM.)
Evening Prayer 4:00 PM: Held in the church with Fr. Rich.
Mass  4:30 PM: Fr. Rich will preach at the 4:30 PM Mass.
