Claire Stoiber
High School & Early Adult Minister
Office: 262.781.3480, Ext. 229
I am a Catholic-school girl born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. I attended Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic grade school located across the street from my Nonnie and Poppy’s and where all of my aunts and uncles blazed the trail for my two brothers and me—long legacy there. If you know anything about being a Saint Louis Catholic, then you are aware of the even longer tradition of attending a single-sex Catholic high school. I am a proud alumnus of Nerinx Hall all-girls’ college preparatory and credit much of my Catholic identity and formation to the Loretto values of empowerment and a faith that seeks justice. Continuing my Catholic education at Marquette University brought me up Nort’ to Wisconsin.
My sophomore year in undergrad, I was asked to consider my greatest passion in life and without hesitation I answered: relationships! Since then I have actively pursued relationship with God, others and myself in an effort to cultivate and nurture community and peace. As a high school and early adult minister, I have had the privilege and the pleasure to create space for young people to explore and ignite their own healthy, happy, whole and holy relationships. My approach to ministry flows from this passion for friendship, and more specifically for faith-filled accompaniment. We all have a unique and important role and we’re not to go at it alone—we’ve got to be in this together!
Previous to my role here at St. Dominic, I formed lasting friendships at St. John Vianney, Catholic Memorial, and Regis Catholic Schools in Eau Claire. You may see me accompanied by my husband, Robert, and our four-year-old son, Charlie. Prior to our time in Eau Claire, Robert and I were parishioners and were married at St. Dominic in June 2020. Seeking Christ-like relationships is something we’re practicing in our family and we know we need you to help us do just that.
So, join me this year as I navigate new relationships and continue to build upon that ol’ passion of mine! Please reach out for a conversation, a coffee, a community-building opportunity—I’m ready for ya!
