Sydney Fricke
High School & Young Adult Minister
Office: 262.781.3480, Ext. 243
My name is Sydney Fricke, and I am originally from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. I spent much of my childhood in the Milwaukee area visiting family. I attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where I competed in cross country and track while earning a degree in business with an emphasis in economics and marketing.
During my freshman year, a mission trip to Chicago became a turning point in my life. It was there that I encountered Christ in a profound way through the sacraments and through serving the poor. With the support and formation of FOCUS missionaries at the UW Oshkosh Newman Center, my faith deepened and I began to embrace my call as a disciple. Throughout college, I participated in international mission trips, attended annual SEEK conferences, and led Bible studies with my teammates, sharing the Gospel within the athletic community.
My senior year I said yes to serving as a FOCUS missionary. I was sent to the University of Toledo, where I spent two years ministering to college athletes. Those years stretched and formed me, deepening my relationship with Jesus and strengthening my zeal for evangelization and spiritual formation.
I have a heart for mission and firmly believe that once someone encounters the truth, beauty, and goodness the Gospel, they can’t help but share it with others. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve at Saint Dominic Catholic Parish and look forward to what the Lord will accomplish through this ministry.
