Summer Trips with Life Teen is an incredible opportunity for teens to have an awe-inspiring experience of life.  Teens are able to able to be free and confident in themselves, develop new friendships with other teens from our parish, and encounter God working in their lives. This is the summer that you begin to experience a bigger and better life than you ever thought possible. Look through our trip options below!

Summer Trips with Life Teen is an incredible opportunity for teens to have an awe-inspiring experience of life.  Teens are able to able to be free and confident in themselves, develop new friendships with other teens from our parish, and encounter God working in their lives. This is the summer that you begin to experience a bigger and better life than you ever thought possible. 

 

Middle School: Camp Hidden Lake

Dahlonega, GA
Open to Current 6th - 8th Grade Students.

Cost Est. $500* Deposit $100

Camp Hidden Lake is located 75 miles north of Atlanta hidden away in the Chattahoochee National Forest.  Camp Hidden Lake provides a scenic place to experience life and encounter Christ.  While campers have ample activities at camp (ropes course, climbing wall, art barn, gaga pit, indoor gym) the best is the ability to swim or boat on beautiful Hidden Lake; especially to zip-line INTO the lake!

High School: Camp Covecrest

Tiger, GA
Open to Current High School Students.

Camp Covecrest is Life Teen's flagship summer camp. Nestled into the mountains of Northern Georgia in the Chattahoochee National Forest, Camp Covecrest provides a scenic place to experience life and encounter Christ.  Besides ample activities at camp (ropes course, climbing wall, art barn, gaga pit, human foosball, and whiffle ball stadium to name a few).

Why Go On A Mission Trip?

By participating on a mission trip you are living the church’s mission and extending yourself out of love to help those in need.  When you leave the familiarity and comfort of your normal routine to serve others, you are enriching not only their lives; but your own.  In your encounters with others, in your work, in your prayer, and in your daily sacrifices you come face-to-face with Christ and become who you were created to be.

LOVE BEGINS HERE provides teens with an opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ in a Life-Changing way through local mission work where youth live in Catholic community and continue Christ’s work on earth. We work on a small scale with a larger perspective. No task is too small in the eyes of the Lord when filled with great love. We will aim for perfection in our work because our work belongs to the Lord.

CATHOLIC HEART WORKCAMP is a community where faith comes alive through service. Catholic Heart Workcamp invites you to be part of something greater through love, service, and connection. Through meaningful service projects, spiritual growth, and lifelong friendships, our Catholic Mission Trips equip youth to impact your world and deepen your relationship with God.

Fundraising

We believe that our EDGE and Life Teen Summer Trips are life-changing opportunities for teens to encounter and fall in love with Christ.  But, these trips come at an expense.  We offer some fundraisers to help families offset some of the costs.

Sponsor Letters

The sponsor letter fundraiser is a great and easy way to let family members know about your mission trip this summer and to ask for their prayers and also financial support. Teens are asked to write a personal letter to friends and family. Please contact Sami Taylor to learn more about this opportunity!

Lenten Fish Fries

The proceeds from our parish Lenten fish fries help fund our summer trips. All students participating in trips are expected to volunteer at fish fries. This year's fish fries will be on February 24 and March 10, 2023.
