Mrs. Koplien was born in Chicago, IL. She moved to Brookfield when she was 10 and graduated from St. Dominic Catholic School in 1981. She is a proud alumna. She attended Catholic Memorial High School. Mrs. Koplien earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She had the opportunity to stay home with her three daughters while they were growing up. Once her youngest began kindergarten, she began substitute teaching. In 2006 she was called back to St. Dominic to become a 5th grade teacher. She loves being back “home” at St. Dominic and reconnecting with classmates from the 80s, as now she is teaching some of their children!
