Mrs. Simmons grew up in Mequon where she attended St. Cecilia School. After graduating from Homestead High School, she attended St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa where she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. She met her husband, Matt, while attending St. Ambrose and they married in 1996. Mrs. Simmons taught for 7 years before deciding to stay home with her children, Catie and Joey. When Joey started K4 and Catie was in 2nd grade, Patti started working part-time in the St. Dominic Library. In 2017, after five years in the library, she started teaching 4th grade.
Mrs. Simmons loves working at St. Dominic Catholic School for a variety of reasons, one being a strong sense of community. She has enjoyed meeting many of the families, teaching their children, and working with other teachers.
Mr. and Mrs. Simmons are St. Dominic parish members. Their children Catie and Joey both graduated from St. Dominic Catholic School. Mrs. Simmons enjoys vacationing with her family anyplace that is near the ocean. She enjoys being outside, walking, reading and spending time with her family.
