Mrs. Mary Jo Shapiro

Learning Support Teacher

Office: 262.783.7565, Ext. 254

Mary Jo Farley Shapiro is excited to be a part of the St. Dominic Learning Support Team. She has taught in both public and private schools in the MIlwaukee area for several years.
For 16 years, she taught at Bayside Middle School in the Fox Point-Bayside School District. She has also taught in various schools in the Archdiocese for many years. Some include St. Rose, St. Margaret Mary, Mother of Good Counsel and St. Agnes. Mrs. Shapiro has taught in grades 2nd through 8th. Most recently she taught math and social studies in the middle school grades. She is thrilled to bring her expertise to her Learning Support role.

Academically, Mrs. Shapiro earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from UWM, Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certification from Cardinal Stritch University, and a Master of Education with a major in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University. However, her proudest accomplishment is her family. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Shapiro is involved with her family. She and her husband have three grown children and six grandsons. Attending grandsons’ hockey and baseball games are regular family activities. Also important is her Catholic faith. She is currently a member of St. John Vianney and Mother of Good Counsel parishes but also regularly cantors Mass at St. Anne’s Salvatorian Campus.

Mrs. Shapiro is happy to be at St. Dominic School. She hopes to make a positive and faithful impact. Go Knights!
