As an educator, I strongly believe that all students have the capacity to learn and achieve academically, emotionally, behaviorally, and spiritually. It is my job and calling as an educator to provide the means and the tools to help students reach their goals.
Growing up in the Milwaukee area I attended Mother of Good Counsel for grade school and Marquette University High School. I then earned my Bachelor’s degrees in (1) psychology, (2) Cross-Categorical Special Education Early Childhood to Early Adolescence, and (3) Cross-Categorical Special Education Early Adolescence to Late Adolescence from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I continued on to earn my first Master’s degree in Special Education with a focus on Behavioral and Learning disabilities from U.W. Madison. Prior to St. Dominic Catholic School, I worked for fourteen years as a Special Education teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools with a focus on school climate, academic support, and administrative leadership. While working for M.P.S., I earned my second Master’s degree in the area of Administrative Leadership in which I earned my Principal’s as well as my Special Education Director of Student Services licenses from U.W. Milwaukee.
As a parishioner of St. Dominic, a parent with two students in attendance at St. Dominic, and an active community member, I am looking forward to continuing my professional education journey while helping students achieve their academic, spiritual, and behavioral goals.
