I am excited to join the St. Dominic After School Care team. My work with children began as a young babysitter in rural Fond du Lac County. After high school, summers were spent in various roles at Green Bay YMCA, Camp U Nah Li Ya in Suring, WI. Upon graduating from Marquette University with a teaching license I joined the Apostolic Volunteers of the Sinsinawan Dominicans and spent two years teaching at Visitation Catholic School on Chicago’s South Side. I moved to the Fox Valley area, continued my education, spent a few years at Shattuck Middle School in Neenah, married, and then returned to Catholic education with Xavier Schools in Appleton. The next decades were spent teaching and serving as Campus Minister at Xavier while becoming a family of six. Many lessons learned and blessings received being mom to four, now teenage children. I have most recently spent time substitute teaching and working at the Boys and Girls Club. I look forward to spending a few hours a day with the children of St. Dominic Catholic School.
