Bread of Life

1/9/25 | School Articles | by Ms. Brita Willis

A Catholic school education is like no other. I was recently in a conversation where someone asked, "What makes a Catholic school experience different?" A friend of mine shared a beautiful analogy. She explained that a Catholic school education is similar to baking bread. The yeast, which rises and gives the bread its texture, is like the Catholic faith that is woven into everything we do at school. It’s not just religion classes or memorized prayers—it’s a foundation of faith that permeates every part of our day. Just as bread wouldn't be the same without yeast, our students wouldn’t be the same without the faith they build and experience here at St. Dominic. The lessons and values they receive here will stay with them for a lifetime.

As we look forward to the Open House and Catholic Schools Week beginning January 26, we are filled with excitement about all the opportunities our children will have to celebrate the incredible choice you've made to give them a Catholic education.

Do you know a family who might be a good fit for St. Dominic Catholic School? We’d love for you to invite a friend or family member to our Open House on January 26 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This will be a great opportunity to show them what makes our school and our students so special!
