Farewell

6/27/23 | Church Articles | by Emily Nolan

    Dear St. Dominic Parish,

Over the last two years, I have been blessed to witness the Lord at work in beautiful ways here in this parish. Many of you have shared parts of your story with me after Mass, at fish fries, the festival, and other events around the parish, and I have been so honored to have seen God at work in your lives in so many different and beautiful ways.

It is with joy and sorrow that I share that the Lord is inviting me to follow him on a new adventure. In August, I will be entering religious life with the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in Nashville, TN.  Their mission is to preach the Gospel through teaching and evangelization. I will be leaving St. Dominic Catholic Parish and spending some time with my family this summer before I enter the convent.

These last two years here at St. Dominic Parish have been a great gift. I will always cherish the many memories from the time that I have been blessed to work here. Long before I began working here, St. Dominic has been a powerful intercessor and friend in heaven, so it is a great grace to go from St. Dominic Catholic Parish to becoming a Dominican Sister. Please know that I will keep this wonderful parish in my prayers and hope you continue to pray for me.

    In Christ,
    ~Emily Nolan
