Journey Through Advent

12/13/24 | School Articles | by Ms. Brita Willis

As we continue our journey through Advent, I am filled with gratitude and joy for our campus ministry students who are leading our "Journeying with Joseph" morning announcements. Each Tuesday and Thursday, our entire school community pauses in silence for the start of this special time. Our students in campus ministry guide us through reflections, scripture readings, and prayers, while we follow along with a series of related images on our classroom screens. This is a schoolwide prayer experience that helps us all embrace the season of joyful anticipation as we await the coming of Christ.

We are truly blessed to be a part of a community that shares in the gift of prayer and faith. As we continue through this Advent season, let us support one another, drawing strength from the hope, joy, love, and faith that we share as we prepare for Jesus’ birth.

The Christmas spirit is alive and well across our campus, especially thanks to our amazing teachers. Each day, they bring an extra touch of festive cheer to the hallways and classrooms with special dress themes. From festive socks to colorful theme days and even character-themed outfits, our teachers have certainly embraced the season. Just the other day, I thought I saw Mrs. Claus walking through the halls—only to realize it was our own spirited Mrs. Machulak, spreading joy and enthusiasm to all!
