Love Your Neighbor
The Baptism of the Lord is important because it reminds us of Jesus's transition to public ministry. How cool is it that the Baptism of the Lord Sunday comes during a month where we are actively living the discipleship challenge: "Love Thy Neighbor"? Wasn't this what Jesus's public life all about? Teachers have been busy thinking about how their own classrooms will reflect Love of Thy Neighbor. This month, we will recognize students who are being "good neighbors", showing compassion and forgiveness in their learning communities.
Additionally, our K-8th grade students are prepping for their MAP testing, which will begin next week. We are eager to see how much our students grew.
Speaking of excitement, we hope to see you at our Catholic Schools Week open house, Sunday, January 25th, from 10:00 AM -1:00 PM. Come and visit our classrooms and learn more about our programs. Spread the word! Some of our teachers have been working on plans for Catholic Schools Week. Stay tuned for Minute To Win It games, penny wars, a living Rosary and more!
