Summer Fun Camp Open to All St. Dominic Families

St. Dominic Summer Fun Camp is a safe, caring, and fun place for St. Dominic families to bring their children. There is fun around every corner! Activities planned around weekly themes keeps the kids engaged and excited. Circus week may find the children creating their own circus games and then participating in an afternoon at the circus, including making tickets. Field trips are an opportunity to go out and have an adventure. Last year, kids had a blast learning at the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, staying cool at the Wiburg Aquatic Pool, and learning about animals at the Retzer Nature Center. They even got to pet a snake! Every Wednesday the children looked forward to water games such as Drip, Drip, Drop and water balloon fights. Have a budding chef? Summer Camp had the kids making monkey bread, fruit kabobs, and decorating cookies. However, their favorite activity was homemade ice cream in a bag. Come and join us to find out what’s in store for the kids this summer!

My girls love the comfort of coming to a familiar building throughout the summer. It was difficult to get them to leave the many fun days. The themed weeks and activities added to their joy of being there; whether it was a water play day, creating high bouncy balls, or designing a carnival game. Thank you Ms. Kempfer for keeping them engaged all day long!” –Anonymous

“My children loved the St. Dominic Summer Fun Camp. They liked the daily themes, variety of activities, and the fact that they were with so many familiar faces in a familiar setting. As a parent, I liked the flexibility of being able to send them to camp intermittently, and more importantly, the fact that I knew they were in a safe environment, learning, and having fun.” –Anonymous

“This will be the second year my family has utilized St. Dominic Summer Fun. We love it! The program is fun and there are a variety of activities and field trips throughout the summer. As a parent, it means a lot to me to know that my child is safe and in an environment that reinforces our Catholic faith - even during the summer. The teachers are kind, engaged, professional, and fun! We are blessed to participate in the summer program.“ –Tanisha Shabazz

“Being new to the St. Dominic community last year, I was excited to learn of the Summer Fun Camp. I was no exception to many working parents that search to make summer interesting for their child, who is just a bit too young to stay home alone yet. It was important to find a program with a nice mix of activities but also provided valuable social interaction. I also needed a program that was fun for a full day but also easy on the budget. I will be honest, when I enrolled my fifth grader for "summer day care", she was not happy with me...at first! After overcoming those initial jitters of being the new kid, my daughter embraced her time at the Summer Fun Camp immediately. Every day she raved about snack time, the many activities offered, and the wide array of crafts. She always looked forward to field trips and loved every water play activity. The caregivers were very generous, compassionate, caring, and creative. They provided the safety, security, as well as independence needed to have a great summer. I loved that quiet time was offered and surprisingly so did my daughter as it allowed her to decompress and do some reading or silent activities. We are extremely satisfied with the Summer Fun program and await even more exciting times this coming summer!” –The Neihous Family

“Summer Fun offers maximum flexibility. You can just utilize the days or weeks you need to fill in gaps between other camps and family vacations, or it can be your kids' main summer destination. It is a great service that offers a balance of having themed weeks and field trips while not being so overly focused on those that it takes away from the kids' ability to play games, interact through normal activities, and just have fun. “—Chris DeCiantis
